A bold Hawke's Bay Syrah - Floral aromas such as lilac, violet with lifted dark berry notes appear on the nose. On the palate, flavours of boysenberry and plum with well-integrated oak influence come through. With medium weight on the palate, this wine has a hint of pepper and warm spices, rounded out with a soft and velvety finish. With its delicate flavours, this wine pairs wonderfully with grilled meats and vegetables, particularly lamb and eggplant.

The Last Shepherd Chardonnay has fruit driven flavours, toasty French oak, buttery notes, and a deliciously good story. Gisborne boasts being the first city in the world to be touched by the rays of a new dawn. Sheltering high country to the west and high sunshine hours result in long dry summers. A full bodied, rich style of Chardonnay which is classic of the Gisborne region. This wine displays fruit driven aromas of apricot and melon, a textural palate balanced with buttery notes, and rounded off with toasty oak characteristics.

Central Otago is home to New Zealand's largest high country sheep stations. The original shepherds who worked these stations have moved on, yet their spirit remains. The Last Shepherd celebrate these men with this Central Otago Pinot Noir. Medium ruby red, exhibiting vibrant dark berry aromas with hints of spice and smoke. The palate is rich and savoury with dark cherry and plum fruit characters with fine supple tannins, hints of pepper and spice and a savoury oak finish.

Fragrant notes of passionfruit, ruby red grapefruit and white peach jump out of the glass, followed by hints of lemongrass and thyme. This in-your-face drop captures the essence of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Concentrated citrusy notes of lime zest, passionfruit and white peach combine with a lick of wet stones. The palate is dry and gives way to a lip-smacking, mouth-watering finish.

Hops are where it starts for the born-again craft head and Super Charger APA is where Panhead delivers. This is an all-American show with Centennial, Citra and Simcoe overwhelming your nose, kicking you in the taste buds and departing with more bitterness than a Palm Springs divorce. It's a seriously addictive combination.

XPA means Extra Pale, a product of Quickchange's lighter malt base. That delicate colour though is undercut by a glorious hit of alpha oils from Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra hops. Sometimes you don't want your mouth flayed raw and your liver worked to a standstill. Sometimes a few luscious notes of mango, guava, lychee and pineapple can be just the thing.

Pilsner is famously Czech in origin, but here we've gone for a South Pacific hop profile in keeping with the people who brew it and drink it. Passionfruit, grapefruit and sauvignon blanc characters abound, stacked up on a robust malt base that's partly German, partly Kiwi.

The raptor family includes a surprisingly diverse collection of birds of prey and their kin, and stretches to include some of their fiercer ancestors from the land before time. Pale Ale can feel like a similarly broad category, but this one is very much of the more assertive kind. 2024 NZ Brewers Guild Trophy winning Pilsner. If the sky is clear and cool, and you're very lucky, you might witness a sundog: apparitions that accompany the true sun, an atmospheric trick of light and ice. Parrotdog's own Sundog, a Pilsner starring the vivid passionfruit and white wine notes of New Zealand hops, is much easier to find, but just as crisp and bright.

Our feathered friends see the world differently. Through birds' eyes, things might look almost psychedelic to us, with heightened colours and fresh hues forming a surprising new spectrum. This hazy, citrus and stonefruit accented IPA with a mellow, soft and silky texture gives a similarly refreshing change of perspective.

Corte Vigna is crafted with native grapes from Puglia. This Sangiovese has a complex olfactory fragrance with aromas of fresh fruit and raspberries, good structure and dry flavour.

This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy's Adriatic coast.
